Often we ignore our backs unless we experience pain. Yet with many important blood vessels and nerves running up and down the spine, the health of our backs is crucial to our overall health. We can live without arms and legs but not our torsos. In this registered six week class series, we will explore unconscious postural patterns that can contribute to discomfort either in the back or elsewhere in the body, subtle ways to activate the deeper postural and inner core muscles that support the back and then end with a few back release poses. You will be given the chance to try out the Back Mitra – a unique prop that we will be using to help facilitate this process. Class size will be limited to 8 for social distancing. 

Students will be asked to fill out an intake form and will need to bring a yoga mat and a small ball. New students will be asked to fill out an intake/waiver form and show their identification and vaccine passports. The instructor is fully vaccinated.
